Cleaning Up Lists
Use the clean-up tool to merge duplicate records and correct naming inconsistencies in CMS lists.
This feature is currently available for Authors and Keywords.
How to Run a List Cleanup
Section titled “How to Run a List Cleanup”- Navigate to Administration -> Lists.
- Open either Authors or Keywords.
- Open the Create dropdown.
- Click Clean-up.
The system schedules a cleanup report and shows a confirmation message. Wait a few seconds, then run Clean-up again to view suggested merge candidates.
Review and Merge Candidates
Section titled “Review and Merge Candidates”When the report is ready, you will see potential duplicates grouped together.
- If there are 2 matches, choose which record should remain. The other record is merged into the selected one.
- If there are more than 2 matches, choose the primary record to keep and group the rest under it. You can exclude one or more records if they do not belong to that group.
Click Continue to apply your changes.
