Social Channels
This guide walks you through the process of adding a new Social Channel in the News Suite platform.
Supported platforms:
- X (formerly Twitter)
- Bluesky
- Telegram
- Email/Newsletter (built-in)
- Mailchimp
- Sendinblue
- Push (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- OneSignal
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Other regional providers (such as Nabd)
- Custom webhooks

Step 1: Navigate to the Publisher Configuration Section
Section titled “Step 1: Navigate to the Publisher Configuration Section”- Login to News Suite.
- From the left-hand sidebar, go to Administration.
- Under Administration, click on Publisher Configuration.
- On the Publisher Configuration page, select the Social Channels tab.
Step 2: Access the Social Channels Management Page
Section titled “Step 2: Access the Social Channels Management Page”- In the Social Channels section, you will see a list of existing social channels.
- Click the Add new channel button in the top-right corner of the page.
Step 3: Fill in the Channel Details
Section titled “Step 3: Fill in the Channel Details”- On the “Create Social Channel” page:
- Name: Enter a unique name for the channel (e.g., Twitter, Facebook).
- Description: Provide a description for the channel (optional).
- Label: Enter a label that represents the channel.
- Type: Select the type of social channel from the dropdown list. Supported types include:
- Twitter (listed as X)
- Telegram
- Newsletter
- Push (and more…)
- Choose the type that matches the channel you are adding.
- Press on Create social channel.
Step 4: Configure Channel-Specific Settings
Section titled “Step 4: Configure Channel-Specific Settings”Depending on the selected channel type, additional settings will appear. Fill in the necessary settings based on the channel you picked.
Step 5: Save the New Social Channel
Section titled “Step 5: Save the New Social Channel”- After filling out all required details and settings, click the Create social channel button (top-right corner of the page).
- The new social channel will now appear in the list on the Social Channels page.
Optional: Edit or Delete an Existing Channel
Section titled “Optional: Edit or Delete an Existing Channel”- To edit an existing channel:
- Click on the channel’s name in the list.
- Modify the settings and click Update social channel.
- To delete a channel:
- Click on the channel’s name.
- Select Delete social channel from the top-right corner.
Tips and Notes
Section titled “Tips and Notes”- Ensure you have the necessary credentials and permissions to configure external channels like Facebook or Twitter.
- If a channel type is unsupported, you may need to consult the system administrator for further assistance.
- Regularly check the Last Use column to identify inactive channels that might need updates or removal.
