Creating Social Posts

This guide will walk you through the steps of creating and sending a newsletter in the CMS. Follow these instructions to distribute a social post via e-mail, social, WhatsApp, push notification, webhook, or others.

  1. From the Dashboard menu on the left sidebar, navigate to Publisher.
  2. Click on Social Posts. You will be taken to the Social Posts page where you can manage your previous posts and create new ones.

  1. In the top right corner of the Social Posts page, click the button labeled Create social post. This will open the form for creating a new social post.

You will now see a form where you can customize your post for the newsletter service. Here’s how to fill it in:

  1. Content: Click the Choose content… button to select the articles or content you want to include in the newsletter. A selection box will appear where you can select content by checking the boxes next to the titles.

  2. Publish Date: You can either schedule the newsletter for a specific date by selecting a date, or leave it empty for immediate sending.

  3. Text: This field is where you can write or customize the introduction or additional text that will appear in the newsletter.

In the Services section of the form:

  1. Newsletter: Make sure the checkbox next to Newsletter is selected. This sends the post as a newsletter. This is useful for sending newsletters with predefined templates such as a Daily Picks newsletter. If you’d like to create your own email from scratch, see the related marketing guide Sending a custom email

  2. Text: There is an additional field to enter text specifically for the newsletter, if you want to customize the message for this channel. If left blank, it will use the text from the earlier section.

  3. Targeting: Use the dropdown menu to select the audience you want to target. By default, it sends to all subscribers, but you can customize this based on audience segmentation.

  4. Template: Select the template to use for the newsletter. If you’re unsure, you can use the default template.

Step 5: Select Additional Channels (Optional)

Section titled “Step 5: Select Additional Channels (Optional)”

Below the Services section, there are additional options for other platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Push notification
  • WhatsApp

Check these options if you want to cross-post your content to these platforms as well.

  1. Once you’ve filled in all the details, you can click Save and preview to see how your newsletter will look before sending it.
  2. If everything looks good, you can proceed by clicking the Publish button, which will either send the newsletter immediately or schedule it for the selected date.

After publishing, you can manage your newsletter and other social posts by returning to the Social Posts page. Here, you can:

  • See the performance of each post (e.g., scores and reach).
  • Filter posts by content, status, channel, or user.
  • Edit or delete posts as needed.
